So, you want to go out on the Internet and get software from a variety of different mirrors. Kveton focused on the how and why of providing a software mirror to the outside world from the perspective of a system administrator.

Automating Management:
KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid): There are lots of tools to make a mirror administrator's job easy. Kveton describes some of the tools and gives the source to folks so they can use them with their mirrors.

How do I convince the powers that be?
You ask your boss for $20,000 and you'll need dedicated bandwidth for hosting this mirror. How do you convince them to do this?

What should you mirror?
What are the things that should be mirrored and reasons for providing access to them.
