Session
Writing about Perl - Observations and Guidelines
Randal L. Schwartz, Stonehenge Consulting
Tom Phoenix, Stonehenge Consulting
Track: Perl
Date: Thursday, July 10
Time: 5:15pm - 6:00pm
Location: Portland
Randal Schwartz has had over 20 million commercial bylines about Perl, having written or contributed to over 160 magazine articles, many best-selling books, and thousands of Usenet and web community postings, thus making him the world's most prolific Perl author. Join Randal and co-conspirator Tom Phoenix as they present a fun and informative chat about the process of writing Learning Perl, Learning Perl Objects, References, and Modules, and the rest. Learn about the writing process including where to get ideas, how to get things reviewed, and how to understand your audience. Also included is advice about answering questions for the online community. (The bad puns are a given, especially if you recall the "Teaching Learning Perl" presentation at last year's conference.)
