Craig R. McClanahan, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Amy Roh, Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Track: Java
Date: Tuesday, July 08
Time: 1:45pm - 5:15pm
Location: Columbia

Building web applications is hard. Building robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications is even harder. This session will describe the fundamental architectural principles that should guide your application development, focusing on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) paradigm. We will illustrate these principles by describing how they are implemented in the Struts Framework, a popular open source framework (from the Apache Software Foundation) for building Java-based web applications.
