Track: Perl
Date: Thursday, July 10
Time: 2:30pm - 3:15pm

Tired of writing all of your data persistence code by hand? Looking for a little more abstraction from your relational database? CPAN can help. This session will focus on the most popular Perl modules for mapping objects to relational databases, including Tangram, Class::DBI, SPOPS, etc. It will examine the differences in features, ease of use and performance, and include a set of hand-coded classes using straight DBI calls for comparison.
