Jabber usage is exploding, XML, IM, and real-time messaging use is quickly becoming entrenched as the modern solution for just about any communication issue, and Jabber is at the forefront of this wave due to it's inherently open nature. There are so many things going on in the Jabber Universe that it's easy to miss something that's new and useful or replaces a slower/closed solution.
This session gives a quick overview to what makes Jabber tick, and then explores numerous initiatives that integrate web, email, iChat, blogs, chatrooms, pub/sub, and more.
