The PyPy Project -- a Report from the PyPy Developers
Laura Creighton, AB Strakt

Track: Python
Date: Wednesday, July 09
Time: 2:30pm - 3:15pm
Location: Salon A

An interesting new development within the Python Community is the PyPy project, a purely Python implementation of Python. The PyPython project aims at producing a simple runtime-system for the Python language, expressing the basic abstractions within the Python Language itself, having a minimal core which is not written in Python, and having the ability for technologies such as PSYCO and Stackles to easily integrate. Simplicity and flexibilty are the foremost goals.
