What is Python?

Track: BOF
Date: Monday, July 07
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Columbia

Python is rapidly growing in popularity, brain share, and number of worldwide programmers. 2003 download stats from Guido (creator of Python): 50,000 per month! What is this programming language all about and what can you do with it?

Totally informal, this is a chance for current users to share their experiences and newbies to ask questions. We are particularly interested in hearing from newbies as well as old-timers who also have experience with Perl, Java, PHP, and C++. This BOF would especially be useful for those who missed the tutorial on Monday morning.
