Dynamic Languages Support in the Microsoft CLR and ECMA/ISO CLI

Track: BOF
Date: Wednesday, July 09
Time: 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Salon C

Would you like to see Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP or other languages better integrated? Do you have a new language in mind that you're considering implementing? This BOF will focus on both the perceptions and real issues of implementing dynamic languages on the CLI/CLR infrastructure. The session will be moderated by Brad Merrill and Peter Drayton, leading members of the Microsoft CLR team who have written, consulted, and lectured about CLR and CLI technology. We want to share what challenges others have discovered and explore ideas to improve the CLI/CLR. This is a great opportunity to provide direct feedback to a newly emerging technology and influence its capabilities.
