The commercialization of open source continues to demonstrate the quality and capability of software produced under this model to be used in production environments. The effects of this can be seen throughout the traditional software industry as vendors continue to move towards hybrid models where there are both investing in OSS and proprietary software. The panel will discuss the future coexistence of open development models and commercial business models.
