The Perl 6 Compiler Today
Allison Randal, Conference Chair, O'Reilly Media, Inc.

Track: Perl
Date: Wednesday, July 28
Time: 11:35am - 12:20pm
Location: Salon E

While it's true that it'll still be a few years before we see a complete beta of Perl 6, there's a good bit of code working now, if you're not afraid to dance on the bleeding edge. This talk is a brief overview of the prototype Perl 6 compiler: what it can do today, what it can't do today, how to use it, and the plans for the next year.
