Project Pint aims to build a compiler and the needed infrastructure to run today's PHP scripts on a new virtual machine, Parrot. Parrot is an open source virtual machine that is being developed to efficiently run scripting languages, most notably Perl 6. In this talk, we'll discuss the origins of the Pint project, the reason we chose the Parrot Virtual Machine, where we are today, and what the future holds for the project.
