With Plone you get a leading edge open source content management system. But any system is only as good as the customizations that you can make to the system, be it a closed or open source system.

Archetypes is a schema driven system that allows you to create new content types easily, quickly, and simply. Content types can also be created through the web or from UML tools making Plone a true rapid development content management system.

In this talk, McKay delves into how to make a new content type that will transform Microsoft Office documents on the fly, can be edited locally in Word, and shared throughout the enterprise using Plone.
