Michel Pelletier, CIGNEX Technologies

Track: Python
Date: Friday, July 30
Time: 11:35am - 12:20pm
Location: Columbia

TrackBackTrackBack

The Zope developer's community has spent the last three years developing a Python component framework that is the basis for the next generation of Zope beyond the 2.x series, Zope 3. Zope 3's component framework is not Zope specific, as several other Python projects have adopted the framework for their own purposes. This talk begins with an introduction to Zope components, how they are used in Zope 3, how they are useful to projects unrelated to Zope, and how certain features of components should become standard parts of the Python language.
