This session is about MySQL performance tuning, but unlike many of such performance sessions, it does not just give advice on how to tune MySQL, but instead shows in detail how to spot items requiring adjustment as well as what performance impact they have. Open Source OSDL (DBT2) Database Benchmark (OLTP, TPC-C like workload) is used as the test workload. Additionally we’ll concentrate on the MySQL performance aspect and investigate the affect of Linux configuration on performance as well as hardware configuration.
