BEA and the Apache Software Foundation have jointly announced a new open source project named "Beehive," which is based on the WebLogic Workshop application framework. This talk will provide details about what this announcement means for BEA and its customers. The discussion will include an overview of the Beehive components (Controls, Java Page Flows, and Java Web Services based on JSR-181), the relationship to JCP standards, the operation of the project within the Apache community, and how the framework will fit into the next version of the WebLogic Platform.
