Shashank Date
Shashank Date completed his Masters in Computer Applications in 1987 and has been a programmer since then. For the past 16 years he has programmed in many languages on various platforms. He has been using Ruby for the past two years, both on hobby projects and at work. His hobby projects involve programming the Lego Mindstorms using Ruby and Squeak. At work, Shashank uses Ruby to automate batch scripts, generate and analyze SQL code, build prototypes and parallelize queries over a cluster of databases. Shashank has authored a few packages on Rubyforge and is a member of various development teams on Sourceforge.
