Thomas Goetz
Thomas Goetz is the articles editor at Wired Magazine, where he coordinates
special projects, including "The Free and the Unfree: An Atlas of the
Intellectual Property Wars," which appeared in the June issue. Last November
he wrote Wired's cover story "Open Source Everywhere," documenting the
spread of the open source approach to other disciplines. Prior to joining
Wired, he was an executive editor at the Industry Standard, the late but
lauded newsmagazine of the Internet Economy. Previously, he was a staff
reporter at the Wall Street Journal. He started his career at the Village
Voice. A graduate of Bates College, Goetz also holds a master's degree in
American Literature from the University of Virginia.
