Thomas Goetz
Thomas Goetz is the articles editor at Wired Magazine, where he coordinates special projects, including "The Free and the Unfree: An Atlas of the Intellectual Property Wars," which appeared in the June issue. Last November he wrote Wired's cover story "Open Source Everywhere," documenting the spread of the open source approach to other disciplines. Prior to joining Wired, he was an executive editor at the Industry Standard, the late but lauded newsmagazine of the Internet Economy. Previously, he was a staff reporter at the Wall Street Journal. He started his career at the Village Voice. A graduate of Bates College, Goetz also holds a master's degree in American Literature from the University of Virginia.
