Custom front end appliations developed on top of Firefox can bring new levels of capability to your web based services. This talk explores the basic concepts of developing simple extensions for Firefox, from working with XUL and Javascript to developing custom UIs and creating an installer for the extension. In addition, this talk covers some of the "in's and out's" of developing XUL appliations on top of Mozilla or Firefox to help you decide if it is an apropriate platform for your development efforts.
