Application development for the Web seems to fall into either the quick'n'dirty camp with the likes of PHP or the hard'n'heavy with the likes of Java. But it need not be like that. Ruby on Rails is attempting a shot at the creamy middle with a model for sustainable productivity.

Get the whirlwind tour of seeing a useable application come together in just 15 minutes. Then achieve familiarity with the components as we dissect the experience.
Learn
Ruby is more similar than different to most other programming languages, so we'll pick it up just enough to get going with Rails and learn along the way. We'll build, test, and run a sizable application together using the entire framework.
Use
