Much has been done on the Parrot Grammar Engine, the Perl 6 grammar, and implementing the core features of the Perl 6 language specification. As would be expected, some implementation details have caused refinements or changes in the Perl 6 language specification itself. This talk presents an overview of the work being performed on the Perl 6 compiler, including detailed descriptions of the architecture and implementation of the Parrot Grammar Engine, the Perl 6 grammar, and the compiler itself. The talk will also present a "road map" to completion of the Perl 6 development release.
