Time: 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Moderated by Keith Lofstrom
Silicondo ( www.silicondo.com ) is a pre-seed startup, hoping to help small and medium-sized integrated circuit design companies prove "cells" (like physical subroutines) in silicon. Our users/customers may develop proprietary/secret designs (and we respect their choice), but Silicondo will encourage them to open-source their designs and share their test results. Most Silicondo software, hardware, and silicon-level design will be open-sourced. We want to copy the successes of the open-source software development model.
While I plan to discuss a little of what Silicondo will be doing, I am more interested in the experiences and opinions of people who dream about open hardware designs, or who have taken steps to get there. I hope we can grow a community of open source hardware and silicon designers that can complement the open software community.
Since much of this effort will involve Electronic Design Aid software applications, software contributions to this effort will be welcome, too.
