BOF A First Look at the Glass Bead Network Track: BOF Date: Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 Time: 7:30pm - 8:30pm Moderated by Dan Brian Conceptuary, Inc. is preparing to launch the beta version of its online game, the Glass Bead Network. Players compete to interconnect concepts spanning the entire range of the human lexicon: from movies to music to technology to science. The game is an "open book" competition, where players mine the web to find the most interesting and original connections between ideas. Thus, players build a large database over time of interconnected ideas, the web sites that describe them, and an organization to that data. Dan Brian will demonstrate the status of the project, and discuss some ways that interested parties can participate.
