svl: Peer-to-Peer Subversion Over Bonjour
Artur Bergman, Engineering Manager, Six Apart
Leon Brocard
Track: Emerging Topics
Date: Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005
Time: 2:35pm - 3:20pm
Location: E148
svl is a peer-to-peer version of svk, the decentralized version
control system built on subversion. svl uses Bonjour and Distributed
Hash Tables to allow developers to have
hackathons, or development runs without any central server. Together
these tools allow you to have local branches of your favourite
software, seamlessly merge them against updates from upstream and
share your patches with your friends automagically. Learn about svk,
svl, and the REST API and AJAX that makes them extensible.
