Learn how the ActiveGrid open source project, which adds enterprise features to LAMP with the goal of enabling Web 2.0 application development. Learn how to use the latest XML standards to create rich Internet AJAX applications with the ActiveGrid Application Builder, a graphical environment that supports Python, PHP, and XML standards. The ActiveGrid Application Builder is built with Pyton and wxWidgets and includes a built in web server and the SQLite database for iterative development. This session shows the tool's graphical editors of XML standards for data source integration (XML Schema), web page and service flows (BPEL), dynamic user interfaces (XForms), and data queries (XPath). Also see a demo of deployment on the ActiveGrid Grid Application Server, which extends Apache with session replication and peer-to-peer registration features. The ActiveGrid LAMP Application Server is compatible with MySQL and Postgres, as well as commercial databases.
