Tim Witham
OSDL
Tim Witham has been a user of Linux since 1995 and has been advocating Linux and open source issues inside of corporations for the last five years. In the last two years, Witham has been the Linux program manager at Intel's Microprocessor Software Laboratories, responsible for coordination of technical open source issues and serving as the advocate for open source developers needs. His work led to changes to corporate policies to enhance support for open source developers.
Witham's experience includes more than 18 years working with large-scale commercial computing systems, primarily Linux and Unix-focused. Other major accomplishments include the launch of InfiniBand(sm) I/O architecture, product line architect for a major Unix system vendor, and driving efforts that established major performance and scalability records.
Witham holds a B.S.E.S from the University of South Florida.
