O'Reilly Open Source Convention - August 1-5, 2005 - Portland, Oregon
 Convention Coverage

Speaker

Steve Simms
Technically Sound

Steve Simms has been programming since elementary school, and is finally starting to get good at it. He recently finished work as a web developer and database administrator for a medical company in New Hampshire, and now runs a business providing services for missionaries. Prior to that, he earned a degree in Linguistics at Dartmouth College through studying web usability, and ran a free Play-by-Email gaming service that became the largest of its kind in the world.

These days, you can generally find Steve working on a fault tolerant, intuitive web site management program using Perl, PostgreSQL, and Slony, or mailing newsletters for missionaries.
