Calendaring based on the standard iCalendar (RFC2445) format has become mainstream in recent years. This talk is intended as an introduction to working with iCalendar data in Python. Topics include:

iCalendar: iCalendar's syntax is worthy of a brief explanation, for those who aren't intimately familar with it.

Timezones: Timezones are a pain to work with, but they shouldn't be avoided when working with events.

Examples: Work through several examples of parsing and generating iCalendar events with vobject.
