The industry is moving from a past, where private source software was seemingly the only option for most people, to a new equilibrium which mixes the use of both open source and private source in any given solution. There are many ways to create such a blend, and we'll discuss how the the combination of open source middleware and business practices from established software vendors is being used today to provide real IT benefits. This presentation will discuss some of the efforts being put into creating a potent open source stack for software middleware and why optimizing the blend of how open source and private source are used should be part of your IT strategy.
