CIO, Virtual Production Services LLCJeff Zucker has developed a dozen widely used free and open source software tools, has presented talks at the European and American Open Source Conventions and at the International Congress on Distance Education. He worked for eight years developing free/open solutions for UNICEF (including development of their first website); led a team evaluating UNESCO's WebWorld project; has worked for four branches of the UN and a dozen international NGOs. He has been involved in a variety of social action projects (most using free/open software) covering such issues as public health, adult literacy, under-employment, support for community-based organizations, multi-cultural education and the rights of Native American (indigenous) peoples. Jeff is the author of five published books and numerous articles and is currently working as Chief Technical Officer of Virtual Production Services LLC, a company specializing in providing software support for international development and human rights issues.
