Vice President of Engineering, MozillaMike Schroepfer helps guide and foster Mozillas heart and soul its engineering group which is composed of a vast community of contributors and full-time Mozilla employees. Before joining Mozilla Corp., Mike was chief technology officer for Sun Microsystems data center automation division ("N1"). Most notably Mike was made a Distinguished Engineer, one of Sun's highest technical accolades. He joined Sun as part of its acquisition of CenterRun, which Mr. Schroepfer founded and served as its Chief Architect and Director of Engineering. Prior to starting CenterRun, Mr. Schroepfer worked with several startups, including a digital effects software startup where he built digital video effects software used in motion pictures such as Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and Gladiator. He holds both bachelors and masters degrees in computer science from Stanford University and has filed two U.S. patents.
