Speaker

David H. Adler

David H. Adler is one of the people with the highest ratios of community to actual code in the world of Perl. He is a founding member and current leader of the New York Perl users group, and a member, albeit in absentia, of many other such user groups. He is a contributor to Usenet of some note, as one of the very few to ever have been said to be a reasonable person in comp.lang.perl.misc (a much more important achievement on Usenet than actually *being* reasonable), and a well known member of the IRC #perl channel. He also was the "point man" for the recent excursion of American Perl users to London. Unsurprisingly, given these qualifications, he will give a talk on Perl's community aspect at the upcoming Perl Conference.
