chromatic, Technical Evangelist, O'Reilly Media, Inc.
Patrick Michaud, Consultant, pmichaud.com

Track: Programming
Date: Friday, July 27
Time: 11:35am - 12:20pm
Location: Portland 255

Parrot is the virtual machine intended to run Perl 6 and other dynamic languages efficiently and effectively. The tools used to build Perl 6 are powerful and general enough to host other languages on Parrot effectively. This talk explains how they work and demonstrates how to start running your own language on Parrot--and to use other code targeting Parrot without writing it yourself.
