There has been debate about vulnerabilities in web sites built using PHP. The fact that PHP is the most popular platform for building web applications, as well as the language with the largest number of open source ready-to-use web apps out there, such flaws will be many and obvious. As PHP becomes more suitable for mainstream use by developers from the dorm room to the boardroom, Zend is committed to sharing best practices for creating more secure applications and wants to use this forum to exchange best practices. They will:
- Discuss common causes and how to avoid them
- Refer the best resources for learning security tips,
- Describe how PHP is evolving to minimize risk of flaws
- Ways to detect flaws early and how to correct them
- Explain methods for securing code throughout the life cycle of a web site
