Bayeux is a protocol specification which is enabling interoperable, event-driven user interface programming for the web without modifications to browsers, and many times without modifications to existing server-side code. This talk describes the easy-to-implement JSON-based protocol and outlines architectural issues and solutions for scalability, security, and deployment.
The talk will also present the work being done in the CometD project to implement multiple interoperable, conforming Bayeux servers and clients for many server languages and platforms.
