Sessional Professor, The King's University CollegeLino is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Alberta, Canada. He is the author of 14 scientific papers and more than 20 presentations covering a broad range of topics related to knowledge discovery. Some specific topics include: image analysis, data analysis, pattern recognition, and machine learning. He has contributed tests, examples, and new functionalities to the Insight Segmentation and Registration Toolkit (ITK, http://itk.org). ITK is an open-source software system for medical image processing. Lino is a frequent contributor to the PerlMonks community, in particular, in the area of scientific programming.
