The routing subsystem in Rails has taken center stage in recent months, as developers move beyond the traditional defaults and explore the available facilities for custom routing, including the RESTful routing facilities introduced into the latest versions of Rails. This tutorial will cover some "how-to" highlights of custom routes, as well as some potential pitfalls of the process. On the RESTful side, we'll also look at the question of when, and for what reasons, you would mix non-RESTful idioms with RESTful ones.
