Ruby on Rails brings developers the possibility of building new and cool web applications in an easy, fast, and funny way. This fact has prompted the development of many new web applications by entrepreneurs. Adding Artificial Intelligence (AI) to these web applications can open the door to more innovative and original ideas.

Ruby simplifies the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies. Several Ruby open source projects provide an easy interface to use advanced AI algorithms without knowing its technical aspects. Therefore, with Ruby we can use AI easily--why not use AI power in Rails?

During this presentation, Sergio Espeja will show different kinds of AI algorithms focusing on its area of application and simplicity of use, such as bayesian classifiers for spam filtering, bayesian networks for predictions, or genetic algorithms for problem solving.
