Recently there have been a number of exciting developments in the Geospatial domain involving a move from traditionally powerful desktop applications to online service oriented software.

In some cases this has been accomplished by taking traditional applications often written in C/C++ and creating a scripting language bindings that can then be used in web development. Indeed php and python are a lot further along this path and Ruby has some catching up to do.

In this BoF we will discuss the various classes of applications that need working on and perhaps try to carve out an informal work plan to achieve the goal of making a complete "GeoRails stack"!
