In 2001, O'Reilly Media and Pearson Technology Group formed Safari Books Online as another channel to augment their print distribution of IT content. Since that time, Safari's business has grown exponentially at the same time that the print business has consolidated. During the course of the last five years, Safari's business model has changed to accommodate the different ways that consumers are using published content. The presentation will summarize how people are consuming content in many different applications, and why this online distribution channel has continued to grow and augment O'Reilly's and Pearson's print businesses.
