Over the past year Sun Microsystems and Canonical have collaborated on making Sun's open source implementation of Java SE -- OpenJDK -- available to Ubuntu users. With the open sourcing of Java many powerful libraries and exciting applications can now be packaged and made available through Ubuntu's easy point-and-click Add Applications interface.

This session will give a brief overview -- chock full of live demos -- of all the cool Java technology in Ubuntu.
