Crispin Cowan

Crispin Cowan was the CTO and founder of Immunix, Inc., acquired by Novell in 2005, and now works as a the security architect for SUSE Linux. At Immunix, he lead the development of AppArmor, as well as the StackGuard compiler defense against buffer overflows, and the LSM (Linux Security Modules) interface in Linux 2.6. He was previously a computer science professor, and has a Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters degree from the University of Waterloo.
