Senior Consultant, Burton Group

Chris Haddad is a Senior Consultant and strategist with the Burton Group’s Application Platform Strategies service. He has over 13 years of experience architecting and managing application development initiatives and providing advice to leading Web services companies such as Grand Central, Flamenco Networks, Adjoin, Securant, Employease, Jamcracker, TRX, and Raygun. Prior to joining Burton Group, Haddad was CTO for Cobia Communications, an Atlanta based consulting firm providing XML Web services expertise.

A strong proponent of Web service standards, Haddad currently chairs the Atlanta-based Web Services Special Interest Group. He has participated in the development of technology specifications for the OASIS FWSI TC, IBSi, ITML, and HR-XML working groups. He worked on Web services infrastructure for the Apache Axis and Employease EConnect projects and was granted committer status on the Apache Axis project in 2002. He is currently authoring a book on Apache Axis for O’reilly and Associates.
