Richard P. GabrielRichard P. Gabriel has all the usual credentials and some unusual ones too. Along with a PhD in computer science, he holds an MFA in creative writing (poetry). His publications include technical papers, books, essays, memoirs, and poems. He has been engaged in both eXtreme-Programming-like and Mob Software projects since 1972. He is a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems and a Consulting Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University. Recently, he has been the Chief Scientist for Sun9s Sporadic Laboratory for Business Engineering, which developed new business, licensing, organizational, and marketing models for Jini.
