Dan Farber

Dan Farber is editor-in-chief of ZDNet, part of CNET Networks. He has more than 25 years of experience as a journalist covering technology. He joined ZDNet in 1996, and led the development of ZDNet's worldwide network of more than 70 technology-focused sites. ZDNet has won numerous awards, including voted the Best Overall Online Site by the Computer Press Association.

Farber developed ZDNet's blog network, which includes more than 30 bloggers covering key technology topics. He hosts CNET Networks' "Face to Face" and "CIO Sessions" video series, where he conducts interviews with top CEO and IT executives.

Prior to joining ZDNet, Farber served as vice president and editor-in-chief at Ziff-Davis' flagship computing news publications, PC Week and MacWeek. He was also a founding editor at MacWorld and part of the editorial staffs of PC World and PC Magazine. He is based in San Francisco.
