Tikva Morowati: artist, researcher, designer. Concentrated on the effects of the Internet and mobile devices on social behavior and interaction, her work integrates an array media including video, sound, electronic circuitry, wearables, telephony, and the web.
In May she will complete her Master's degree at NYUs Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where she has worked on creating interactive experiences for the non-virtual world. Tikvas thesis is on the state of aloneness and personal experience in the networked, always-on world.
Previously she was an award-winning filmmaker, NYU Film student, and a concert producer. Tikva occasionally blogs and podcasts for MAKE, in addition to her own ongoing personal projects.
