Director of Developer and Web 2.0 Marketing, Sun Microsystems

Dan Roberts is the Director of Developer and Web 2.0 Marketing at Sun Microsystems, covering product marketing and management for all Sun's NetBeans-based tools lines including Java Studio Creator, Java Studio Enterprise, and the Solaris Developer program. Dan also covers emerging technologies like Ajax and the broad Web 2.0 movement which are changing the way Web applications are built today. A member of Sun's Developer Platform and Programs Strategy Team, he's an experienced public speaker who's been with Sun Microsystems for 8 years during which time he's held various product management and marketing programs roles covering many of Sun's Java tools initiatives including Project Rave, Sun ONE Studio, Forte for Java, and NetBeans. Dan joined Sun as part of the Forte Software acquisition.
