Founder and President, Applewood Books

Phil Zuckerman is the founder and president of Applewood Books, publisher of books from Americas living past. Since the companys beginnings in 1976, Applewood has reissued over 1,200 familiar and nostalgic American books, selling millions of individual copies. From the Bay Psalm Book, prepared and used by the early colonists, to facsimiles of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys series, Applewood has slowly and organically grown its list and built its brand. Over the last few years, Applewood has dramatically increased its publishing output by combining innovative new workflows with old-fashioned publishing values, further fulfilling the companys mission to build a picture of America through its primary sources.
