Jonathan Ellis is an early adopter of SQLAlchemy and the author of one of the first SA extensions, SqlSoup. He is a speaker and tutorial instructor at PyCon 07 and president of the Utah Python User Group. He currently works for Berkeley Data Systems where he wrote the petabyte backend for the Mozy backup service.
