Gary Cosimini is Business Development Director, Creative Solutions Business Unit, Adobe Systems Incorporated, serving as a liaison between Adobe and its customers and system integrators in the professional publishing market. Gary joined Adobe in 1992 after a 16-year career at the New York Times, most recently as senior art director, and was responsible for the initial introduction of Acrobat and PDF to the publishing industry. At the newspaper, he led the transition from traditional editorial imaging to computer-based methods that took advantage of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and networked PostScript output. He also played a key role in the transition from film to digital news photography and the adoption of JPEG compression. While at The New York Times, he was a member of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize for explanatory journalism in 1985.
