Jens Krämer is the local Rails evangelist at webit!, a medium sized IT consultancy based in Dresden, Germany. Since the year 2000 he's been involved in building web applications ranging from e-commerce sites to complex cms driven corporate web sites.

In his free time he maintains acts_as_ferret, a Rails plugin that integrates the Ferret full text search engine with ActiveRecord. He also does some Rails freelancing and he is part of the team behind omdb.org, an open content movie database built with Rails.
